I have worked with Dustin and Greg on many previous projects. I find them innovative, budget conscience, and always available to trouble shoot or dream up the next big productive time saver. If you dream it, they will build it or connect you with who can!

Our legal team works with a diverse set of firms ranging in size with a variety of practice areas. We focus on helping your firm invest in the right technology for maximizing leverage and planning future needs.

Our technology services for firms include:

  • Outsourced or fractional CIO

  • Fully outsourced IT / Managed IT (also known as managed services)

  • Outsourced CIO & engineering team

  • Technology audits and digital transformation consulting engagements

A few of our team’s success stories:

  • Featured speakers and panelists at multiple ALA events and document management vendor conferences.

  • Established an Austin firm from scratch, just us and the founding partners. Managed all technology (including consulting on litigation strategy) for rapid growth, the firm had 55+ employees after 2 years, with 5 offices across the country.

  • Provided on-site litigation support for a trial at the International Trade Commission (Washington DC) for a week long trial. This trial involved hundreds of millions of dollars and several Fortune 50 companies.

  • Created ad-hoc document review process for a received production of 2.5 million TIFF files on a very strict budget.

  • Executed two moves and firm mergers simultaneously with zero major issues or interruptions to the firm’s ability to work within first 60 days of starting with a 26-person firm.

Our professionals can provide the following services for your firm:

  • eDiscovery assistance.

We work hand-in-hand with your firm and any eDiscovery providers to overcome technical hurdles related to collection, translation of data types, organization, searchability, and more.

  • User training.

We train for processing incoming PDF’s for OCR, editing them, exporting to Word cleanly, and other useful tasks for attorneys and staff. We work directly with staff as part of one our managed IT engagements or conduct large group presentations.

  • Office expansions and moves.

Not only do we help move your servers but we also help you plan power, work with your AV and copier companies, and ensure the firm is operational and billing necessarily throughout the move. From the start, we’ll help you evaluate potential locations for internet service and layout and attend all the construction meetings. Managing expectations and minimizing surprises remains as key for any move.

  • Optimizing document workflows.

We use as much automation as possible by applying automation to tasks such as PDF and OCR handling, form assembly, protection/encryption of confidential information such as metadata, and large or small sharing of document sets.

  • Client audits.

We sit down with you (or handle and send to you) to work through those audits. We review the request, compile policies, implement controls, and complete the audit reports for you. Our experience includes client audit requests from the largest banks in the country and from companies in the Fortune 10.

I worked with Dustin Bolander and his team for several years and absolutely love working with them! Dustin has a great understanding of the law firm environment and how to work with each individual lawyer. His team has a great follow up process and they are very responsive. I definitely recommend Clear Guidance Partners.
