Okta - January Incident

This post will be continually updated with more information regarding the Okta situation. All times in CST.

Okta is an identity provider, providing login ability and related security for softwares. Many companies use it instead On 3/21/2022 a potential breach was identified.

3/22 8:34a: Clear Guidance Partners does not use Okta internally, and has not deployed it to any client networks. We are currently assessing both our own and clients’ vendors to identify potential risks from this event.

3/22 8:59a: CGP is actively reaching out to our clients’ vendors to document the usage of Okta. Additionally, Okta has a large customer list posted here.
3/23 7:45a: CGP has built an extensive catalog of our clients’ vendors who are utilizing Okta. At this time, Okta has identified that approximately 2.5% of their customers were impacted and has contacted them with a notice. CGP will continue to monitor the situation, at this time we are expecting vendor notifications for any effected clients.
